The owner of the villa likes two architect styles — Constructivism and Nordic Modern. In his purely constructivist villa the owner wanted to have a very special doorframe. The noble artist Alexander Pozin has offered a risky idea — to create a wild granite block entrance portal to the clean constructivist interiors of the Vila. The granite blocks are hand carved by the Artist like an entrance to a paleotic cave. The blocks are self-baring with no any metal or whatever fixing between them. The challenge was to integrate Belgium structure glass doors and structure glass facade. At a certain point, we were thinking that this idea is impossible, however a clever engineering brain of the Artist generated an idea how to install the imposts of the glass doors and facade together with the insulation material inside 6 tons granite blocks. This is more an engineering solution rather than an art piece, as our team believes; and another example that there is nothing impossible.
