The Customer has a fantastic living room in his Vila in Sintra. The Architect has planned a wooden fireplace in the middle of the social space. The lines are incredible and clean, however to use the open fire with a wood was not a good idea due to safety.

The Owner of the Vila did not want to ruin the design of a fire pace and install glass protection or anything else, however, he wanted to enjoy real fire in his living room.
Our solution was to change the wooden fireplace by the gas one.

The artist Sergey Melikov invented the idea — a molten metal spreading over the marble block with the flakes of the flame. It looks incredible — an art piece full of fire.
Now the living room has a fantastic art piece which looks super both with and without the fire and at the same time — the Owner and his guest can enjoy the true fire — so cozy and modern.
